Peter Meyer Obituary, Death; – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is providing further information regarding a fatal shooting that occurred on April 8 on U.S. 301. The incident took place shortly after 3 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 301 and Balm Riverview Road in Riverview.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered Peter Meyer, 45, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities have indicated that the shooting stemmed from a confrontation between Meyer, who was riding an electric bicycle, and an individual in a vehicle. Detectives are diligently investigating the events that led to this tragic occurrence.
