The Ottawa 20th Century Boys Band is mourning the tragic death of a member who passed away in a fatal accident this week. Peter Linkletter was the Assistant Commissioner, of Policy at Correctional Service Canada and Service Correctional Canada.
Linkletter died in an Ottawa crash on Monday, September 30, 2024. Peter Linkletter (EMBA) was honored to be named to RealComm’s “Top 35 People to Watch in 2008” list. Peter is a cancer survivor who serves on the Board of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. This includes leading a street party in Ottawa as well as designing and developing the Richard and Anita Bloch Cancer Survivors Park, which is set to open later this year.
Who Was Peter Linkletter?
Peter Linkletter was a native and resident of Ottawa. He was the Keyboardist and Vocalist at the Twentieth Century Boys Charity Rock and Blues Band. Peter was a board member of the Real Property Institute of Canada and was recently elected to the board of the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate Americas. He was a Senior Project Director at Public Works and Government Services Canada, as well as a former rock musician. He combined his love of music with his desire to give back to the community as a member of the Twentieth Century Boys, a band that only performs to benefit various charities.
Mourning Peter Linkletter
20th Century Boys released the following statement following the tragic incident; “So sorrowful today on the news that our dear friend and bandmate, the wonderful Peter Linkletter, was tragically killed in an accident earlier this week. Peter was a wonderful human, a light in the lives of everyone he touched. A dedicated and inspired public servant, Peter had an early career as a professional musician, touring North America.
