CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The intersection of South Blvd and Remount Road is closed due to a crash between the light rail and a pedestrian, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Around 10:45 a.m., Medic responded to the collision at the 100 block of Remount Road in South End. Officials said one person was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
It’s unclear how long the intersection will be closed or what led to the crash. CMPD advises drivers to find alternate routes, especially for those driving towards Uptown for Saturday’s Charlotte FC game vs. Atlanta United.
