CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A person is dead after being struck by a train in northeast Charlotte night, police say.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, the incident occurred around 7:25 p.m. in the 9600 block of Old Concord Road, just north of W.T. Harris Blvd. Medic officials pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Old Concord Road is closed between Suther Road and Lexington Circle during the investigation. The type of train involved is unknown at this time.
