Paul Anthony Goodson Obituary – The man who died in a fiery crash on SW Loop 410 last Friday has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office as Paul Anthony Goodson, 36. Goodson was driving south on SW Loop 410 near Medina Base Road when the tragic incident occurred. According to Sgt. Michael Moore of SAPD, witnesses reported that the car may have crossed under the barrier and into the northbound lanes before colliding with the back axle of an 18-wheeler on the opposite side of the highway.
The car was then dragged by the trailer and caught fire. The vehicle sustained severe damage, making it difficult for authorities to determine its make and model immediately. Despite the wreckage, a car seat was found intact in the middle of the scene. Fortunately, the driver of the 18-wheeler was unharmed and cooperated with the investigation.
Gilda Vasquez-Ramos, a witness to the aftermath, expressed shock at the severity of the crash, noting that distracted driving is a common issue in the area. The exact cause of the accident, whether it was due to a medical emergency or distraction, remains unclear.
