Patrick Pearson Obituary – Loved ones are remembering the man who tragically lost his life in the Ruidoso wildfires as a dedicated father and talented musician. Patrick Pearson, aged 60, was discovered deceased near the Swiss Chalet Motel on N. Mechem Road. According to New Mexico State Police, Pearson’s voice was his unique trademark, and he possessed a heart of gold.
Despite being prepared to evacuate, Pearson was unable to escape the relentless blaze. His family, as well as his bandmates, are grieving his untimely passing. Pearson’s body was found with severe burns, and his death marks the first confirmed fatality associated with the South Fork Fire and Salt Fire. A cherished musician in Ruidoso, Pearson was renowned for his exceptional country vocals.
He had been performing alongside the Brendan Dawes Band. Pearson had informed Dawes that he was ready to evacuate and was awaiting transportation before their final conversation. Additionally, Pearson had recently undergone surgery for a broken leg.
