Patricia Riddick Obituary, Death; – Authorities have made public body-camera and dashcam recordings that depict the accident resulting in the death of a mother of four, as a driver reportedly evaded police in Prince George’s County.
The event transpired on March 21 at approximately 7:30 p.m. The Seat Pleasant Police attempted to pull over a sedan on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway. Although the driver initially complied, they soon fled the scene.
Shortly thereafter, Prince George’s County Police located the vehicle at a nearby gas station and attempted to initiate another stop. The driver again fled, leading to a brief chase that culminated in a collision with an SUV at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Belle Haven Drive.
The driver of the SUV, identified as 34-year-old Patricia Riddick, was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. A child accompanying her sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. Fortunately, no officers were injured in the incident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. FOX 5 interviewed Riddick’s sister, Tasha, who described her as a beautiful individual, deeply cherished, and dedicated to community service. The Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General has stated that the investigation into the crash is still active.
