Steven Frane Bailey was taken into custody in relation to the deadly collision that occurred at Park Tavern in St. Louis Park on Sunday night, according to a law enforcement source on Monday.
Bailey, 56, was charged with probable cause criminal vehicular homicide and placed into the Hennepin County Jail. Charges have not yet been brought.
In the wake of the incident on their terrace that left two people dead and four injured, Park Tavern has announced that they will be closed until further notice.
A statement from Methodist Hospital on Monday verified that four of their nurses were hurt and that one of the victims was a well-liked and respected coworker and friend to many at Methodist Hospital and HealthPartners. Originally, police had stated on Sunday that three people were hurt in addition to the two fatalities.
A monument was erected at the location early on Monday morning, complete with flowers and shirts that had the name of the company printed on the backs of twelve seats.
The company said in a social media post that it decided to stay closed in order to support and look out for their employees and neighbours. The proprietors are appreciating the guests’ patience and generosity since both customers and staff still find it hard to believe what happened on Sunday night.
According to sources, a few of his coworkers went out to celebrate one of the staff members’ departure from her position as an ICU nurse after seven years in order to enroll in CRNA school.
