CHARLOTTE (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — Panthers guard Robert Hunt has been named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career, the team announced on Monday.
He joins cornerback Jaycee Horn as the only two Panthers heading to Orlando for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games. The last time the Panthers had at least two pro bowlers was in 2021 with Brian Burns and Stephon Gilmore.
Hunt, 28, played every snap in the first 16 games and allowed just 2.5 sacks this season. He didn’t play in Week 18 due to a knee injury.
Before joining the Panthers ahead of the 2024 season, Hunt spent four years with the Miami Dolphins. In 2023, Hunt was the fifth alternate for the Pro Bowl.
“I can’t say that was snubbed. I just know I can be better,” Hunt said. “I was an alternate last year, so this year, I got closer. I was a closer alternate. Maybe next year, I kick the door down. I’m gonna do all I can in this offseason to try to kick the door down.”
Hunt replaces Eagles guard Landon Dickerson who will be heading to New Orleans for the Super Bowl. He is the first Panthers offensive lineman to make the Pro Bowl since guard Trai Turner in 2019.
