CHARLOTTE (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — The lockdown cornerback is now locked in in Carolina. Jaycee Horn is staying with the Panthers as he’s now the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history.
On Monday, the team announced he was signing a four-year extension, and CSL confirmed the deal is worth $100 million (up to $108 million with incentives), with $70 million guaranteed.

The former South Carolina Gamecock was named to his first Pro Bowl this season after playing 98% of the team’s total defensive snaps in 15 games. He finished the 2024 season with 68 tackles and one interception.
The Panthers now have both of their first-round picks from 2021 (Horn) and 2020 (DT Derrick Brown) signed to long-term deals.
As the NFL free agency period nears, the Panthers have already signed center Austin Corbett and tight end Tommy Tremble to contract extensions.
