Owen Willers Nashville Death: Family and friends are mourning the tragic death of a teenager who passed away on Sunday, 16 June 2024. 18-year-old Owen Willers died from an apparent suicide following a long battle with depression and anxiety.
Who Was Owen Willers?
Owen Nathaniel Willers, age 18, died unexpectedly and terribly on Sunday, June 16, 2024. On February 5, 2006, Owen was born along with his best buddy and twin sister, Izzy. He was born three months early and quickly acquired the nickname Tank as he fought his way out of the neonatal intensive care unit and into his parents’ adoring arms. Owen was an angel among us. He was compassionate, kind, devoted, diligent, and sincere. He consistently prioritized the needs of others. Owen’s heart was pure gold.
Owen attended Montgomery Bell Academy and graduated on May 30, 2024. He planned to attend Davidson College in the autumn to study psychology and philosophy. At MBA, he succeeded and thrived. Owen was president of the school Honor Council his senior year after serving on it for six years. He accepted brotherhood, worked hard, and valued his friends and teachers. It was at MBA that he discovered his love, enthusiasm, and gift for sketching, and he was encouraged to express himself creatively by his amazing art teachers.
When Owen wasn’t at school, he enjoyed laughing at his brother Charlie’s quick wit, working out in the gym for hours, and listening to music. Being a twin is always a set-up. Although having a twin is always a source of competition and comparison, Owen was incredibly proud of his twin sister, Izzy, and never missed an opportunity to tell her how brilliant and amazing she was. Owen also had a soft spot in his heart for his dogs, George and Eddie, who followed him everywhere.
