GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person lost their life and another was injured in a shooting and assault overnight.
Gaston County Police say officers found the two victims in a car near York Highway and Hudson Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27. One person in the vehicle was dead after being shot, and the other had been assaulted.
Investigators believe the incident happened in the Goble Street neighborhood. The surviving victim was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center. At this time, neither victim is being named.
