Terry Lynn Alvarez, 63, tragically passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. He had been surrounded by family during his final days.
Born on June 9, 1961, in Salinas, CA, to Ray Denver and Mary Ann (Partridge) Reece, Terry was a hardworking man who grew up working with his father in a furniture factory. His strong work ethic stayed with him throughout his life, later leading him to become self-employed in home remodeling and repair, a career he truly loved.
Terry was passionate about motorcycles and was known for his infectious sense of humor and his generosity. His ability to make everyone around him laugh and lend a hand in times of need made him a cherished figure to those who knew him. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul who touched the lives of so many.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents and several family members, including his brother Ramon Santana and sisters Debbie Alvarez, Shirley Alvarez, Victoria Santana, and Ramona Santana. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Sarah Holdaway, and his children, Matthew Holdaway, Zechariah Alvarez, Meriya Guines (Richard), Jessica Trevino (Chris), Crystal Trevino, Heather Jay, Nicole Holdaway, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Glenville Baptist Church, located at 4604 S Seneca in Wichita, KS.
