Obituary; JJ Ruszin Accident; How did JJ Ruszin died? – Jason Jesse Ruszin of West Grove, Pennsylvania, tragically passed away in an automobile accident on Wednesday evening, December 27, 2023, at the tender age of 18. Born in Media, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, he was the cherished son of Jason Michael Ruszin and Heather Murray Ruszin.
Affectionately known as “JJ” to his family and friends, Jason had just completed his first semester at Penn State University, where he was majoring in Business Marketing with aspirations in Real Estate. From a young age, JJ demonstrated a passion for sports and remarkable determination, setting his mind on achieving a black belt in Karate by age eight. His love for baseball was evident as he played little league, travel ball, and for the Avon Grove School District. In his senior year, he pursued volleyball with the same enthusiasm. An avid snowboarder for the past 13 years, JJ also enjoyed online gaming with a close-knit group of friends he had known since the 4th grade.
JJ’s relationships with his family and friends were marked by his caring, loving, and easy-going nature. His endearing dimples and infectious laugh captivated everyone around him. He cherished family vacations to destinations like Aruba and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Described as selfless and uplifting by his friends, JJ never hesitated to include others, leaving a lasting positive impact on those he met. His selflessness extended to volunteering alongside his mother for the Every Child Counts Non-Profit.
An amazing son, brother, family member, and friend, JJ never missed an opportunity to express his love and give affectionate hugs. His zest for life and ability to find laughter in every situation were truly remarkable. His family couldn’t be prouder of the boy he was and the man he had become. His untimely passing at the age of 18 has forever changed their lives, but they find solace in knowing he holds a special place in all their hearts.
In addition to his loving parents, Jason and Heather Ruszin, JJ is survived by his sister, Jalyn Ruszin; grandparents, Michael and Carol Ruszin; his Aunt Debbie Howland; and many other uncles, aunts, and cousins.
