Nour Al Kherat, Ruwaida Salamat Death – Authorities have disclosed the identities of the two individuals who lost their lives in a stabbing incident over the weekend in Springfield. Jim Leydon, the spokesperson for the Hampden District Attorney’s Office, reported that the Springfield Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on the 100 block of Marion Street late Sunday morning.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered two adult female victims of the stabbing, both deceased at the scene. The victims have been named as 19-year-old Nour Al Kherat from Springfield – believed to be the daughter of the suspect, 46-year-old Osamah Al Kharet from West Springfield – and 39-year-old Ruwaida Salamat, believed to be the suspect’s spouse.
Additionally, an adult male victim of the stabbing was found at the scene and was transported to Baystate Medical Center with severe injuries. Osamah Al Kharet was apprehended and charged on Monday with two counts of murder, armed assault to murder, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He is currently being held without bail and is set to appear in court again on June 16.
The investigation into the case is ongoing, led by the Springfield Police homicide unit and the D.A.’s murder unit.
