Nicole (Cotsifas) Day Obituary, Death – On Saturday, March 23, Nicole M. (Cotsifas) Day, who was 47 years old, died away in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her devoted wife and children. Christopher M. Day, Nicole’s husband; her two children, Jacob C. and Erin M.; her mother, Barbara (Healy) Cotsifas of Jacsonville, Florida; two sisters, Jennifer Indemaio and Stephanie Cotsifas; and a large number of nieces and nephews are among the families that Nicole leaves behind.
Her father, Chris Cotsifas, passed away before she took her own life. In addition to having a Master’s degree from Springfield College, Nicole is a graduate of Sachem High School, which is located on Long Island, New York. Nicole tied the knot with her college sweetheart in the year 2005.
Nicole worked as a social worker and had a passion for assisting others. Her tenure at UMASS spanned more than eight years. Nicole was a person who was always working hard and who cherished her children with all of her heart. It was a joy for Nicole to be in the company of her family and friends. Nicole’s favorite thing to do was to make everyone laugh and smile. She enjoyed going to the beach, swimming, and going on hikes.
For all of the care and support that they provided, the family would like to express their gratitude to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, which is led by Dr. Kaddis and all of the nurses, as well as Salmon Home VNA Care, which is lead by Dianna Sawyer. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, which is located at 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
We would like to extend an invitation to Nicole’s family and friends to come and pay their respects during this time. Millbury’s St. Brigid Church, located at 59 North Main Street, will be the location of the Funeral Mass that will be held for her on Saturday, April 6th at 11 a.m. A private burial will take place.
