We grieve the passing of Nick Sanders, a shining example in our community who fought cancer valiantly right up to the very end. Nick, the proprietor of PHYT For Function, made a profound impact on many people’s lives, including those of CrossFit Saol participants, with his unrelenting commitment, contagious optimism, and unlimited generosity.
The influence Manuel Gonzales had on SFHS went well beyond the football field. As a coach, he taught his players the virtues of patience, teamwork, and devotion in addition to the talents required to succeed in the sport. His unfailing encouragement, support, and sincere care for his players’ welfare on and off the field were hallmarks of his leadership.
Manuel was renowned for his warmth, friendliness, and contagious enthusiasm in addition to his coaching abilities. His enthusiasm for football was equaled only by his love for his players and the SFHS community, and his presence made everyone around him happy.
