Nicholas Wawok Obituary, – The Porter County police have identified a 46-year-old man from Valparaiso as the motorcyclist who tragically lost his life on Saturday morning following a collision caused by an SUV making a sudden U-turn. The deceased, Nicholas Wawok, was officially identified by the Porter County Coroner’s Office on Monday afternoon.
The incident took place on Division Road between Ind. 49 and Sturdy Road, where police responded to the scene at 11:31 a.m. Despite their efforts to save Wawok, they were unsuccessful. The collision occurred when a 2014 Lexus SUV attempted a U-turn while the motorcycle was travelling behind it. The driver of the SUV failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle, resulting in the fatal collision. The Porter County Sheriff’s Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the incident.
