(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good Sunday Morning! Another excellent day is ahead when it comes to your weather forecast. A cool and comfortable start this morning, with temperatures in the 40s.
High temperatures will rise into the low to mid-70s this afternoon, with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions.

Clouds will increase and showers will arrive in the mountains and foothills overnight as a cold front approaches. Expect scattered showers to approach the Charlotte metro during the Monday morning commute.
We desperately need rainfall, but we are not expecting much out of Monday’s system. Most areas will see under a tenth of an inch of rainfall. However, areas north of I-40 could experience a little more rain.

Showers will shift east of the region by Monday afternoon, with just a few isolated showers possible. Clearing skies during the afternoon will allow high temperatures to climb into the upper 60s and low 70s on Monday.
A general dry pattern of weather will take shape for the rest of the week, with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. The wildfire risk will remain elevated across the region, which will keep the burn ban in effect for both North Carolina and South Carolina.
