Nathaniel Sandoval Obituary, – Lincoln County deputies are currently looking into a fatal accident that occurred near North Platte on Thursday. The accident took place on W A Street, a few miles west of North Platte, at 9:45 a.m. Deputies and first responders arrived at the scene to find two individuals in a vehicle with significant front-end damage.
The driver, an 18-year-old girl from Ogallala, is believed to have been disoriented and unaware that she was on a dead-end street. The driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the passenger, Nathaniel Sandoval, 18, of Ogallala, tragically passed away at the scene. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts. The sheriff’s office suspects that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, and charges against the driver are pending. An accident reconstructionist from the sheriff’s office is currently investigating the incident.
