Nathaniel Mills Obituary, Death; – A pursuit involving law enforcement and a motorist resulted in a fatality following a crash in Sumner County on Friday evening, as reported by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP). According to the THP, the incident occurred at the intersection of Academy Road and Brooks Lane on January 31 at approximately 6:10 p.m.
Nathaniel Mills, aged 23, was traveling southbound on Academy Road while evading the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office. During the pursuit, the THP indicated that he veered across the center line and struck another vehicle head-on.
Mills’ vehicle subsequently veered off the right side of the road, crashing into a ditch, while the other vehicle overturned and came to a stop in the roadway, as stated by the THP. The THP confirmed that 41-year-old Nathan Harper lost his life in the incident. Mills sustained injuries as well and is now facing charges of aggravated vehicular homicide.
