Nathan G Doub Obituary – The coroner, Macon County Coroner Michael Day, has identified the motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in Decatur. The deceased individual has been identified as 22-year-old Nathan G. Doub from Decatur. The crash occurred on Monday, and Doub was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident took place at the intersection of N. Main St. and McKinley Ave. at 6:45 a.m. According to Decatur Police, Doub was traveling south on Main St. towards McKinley when he veered off the east side of the road and collided with a utility pole. Despite the initial impact, Doub continued his journey and collided with a second utility pole. It is worth noting that Doub was wearing a helmet and possessed a motorcycle endorsement on his driver’s license.
The police have not determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident, and they believe that speed was a contributing factor. The Fatal Accident Investigation Team is currently investigating the crash
