In Another Suicide Story: What Happened to David Hartanto Wijaya?
David Hartanto Widjaya, an Indonesian study program student, has died. He is an Indonesian student studying electrical engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Singapore’s media has been focusing extensively on the case of the 2005 Mathematics Olympiad champion. He guessed that depression would set in when his thesis was rejected and his scholarship was canceled. Even though he had three months until graduation.
Previously, he was accused of attacking his boss, Chan Kap Luk. He eventually committed suicide by jumping from the fourth story of his collegiate building. The family categorically denies that David died by suicide. In addition to his pleasant disposition and lack of depression, several anomalies were discovered in the statements of witnesses, NTU, Singapore police, and the court.
Dr. Djaja Surya Atmadaja, a DNA forensic expert from the University of Indonesia, designed the autopsy that served as the foundation. They discovered a lot of abnormalities. The wounds discovered were the result of being abused by a sharp weapon, not from falling. David did not murder himself.
Back shoulder wound. This passage is certainly not appropriate for a suicidal individual. Many wounds on the right arm represent hand parrying when struck by a sharp instrument. The left thigh has a spiral fracture that can only form when it is twisted. Not the result of a fall. This also raises the possibility that David was attacked by more than one individual.
Aside from that, Dr. Djaja discovered another anomaly in David’s fall posture. A 1.5-meter-high gate stands on top of the building. With his fractured leg, David was unable to climb over the railing and leap over on his own. After all, his position had collapsed from where he had dived far forward.
Lim Chin Chin, an expert witness, and Singapore Forensic researcher, also made a similar declaration. Nearly all of the bloodstains discovered in Chan Kap Luk’s office belonged to David. Meanwhile, Professor Chan’s bloodstains were only detected in one location on the floor beside the computer table.
