Tuesday’s collision between a motorbike and a pickup truck on Bloomington’s south side claimed the life of a 28-year-old man. According to police, the collision occurred at the junction of Center and Bissell streets at around 7:45 a.m. At a nearby hospital, the motorcycle rider was declared deceased. Police said no one else was injured.
In order for the McLean County coroner to inform the victim’s family, the victim’s identity is being kept private.
The crash’s circumstances are being looked into by Bloomington Police and the McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team. Additionally, authorities are requesting that anybody with details on the collision call BPD at 309-820-8888. Regarding the event, Bloomington Police Chief Jamal Simington issued a statement.

On Monday night in Normal, there was a motorbike collision that claimed one life. According to Normal Police, the single-vehicle collision occurred on Vernon Avenue close to Brookwood Drive at around 5:40 p.m. That’s close to the intersection of Grandview Drive and Towanda Avenue, where Vernon turns.
According to preliminary accounts from the police, the motorbike lost control and struck a guard rail close to the road. On Tuesday, Kathy Yoder, the McLean County Coroner, identified the deceased as Joseph Penn, 48, of Normal. Yoder stated that the first cause of death was several blunt injuries.
The McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team, Normal Police, and the coroner’s office are conducting the investigation.
