(PINPOINT WEATHER) — The second day of the New Year is starting off colder than the first, with low 30s and 20s locked in from our mountain counties into Uptown. Skies are mostly clear, with light winds kicking things off this morning.
Thursday will host a good amount of sunshine as highs land slightly below normal, only hitting the upper 40s and low 50s through the peak heating hours of the day. Winds will be light between 5 and 10 miles per hour out of the west-northwest.
Tonight will get cold, dropping into the 20s heading into Friday morning. The work week will finish off near normal, hitting the low 50s as winds pick up and usher in some colder temperatures. Look for 20s to take hold early Saturday morning and limit our highs into the mid-40s.
We’ll be sunny and clear for the first half of the weekend before rain chances move in on Sunday. We’ll still be cold with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s as rain moves in Sunday into Monday.
Rain will linger for early next week with 40s lasting through Wednesdays and clear cold mornings settled in early Tuesday & Wednesday.
Today: Mostly Clear & Cool. High: 51.
