Montana Rose Lujan Obituary, Death; The Tucson Police Department has confirmed the identity of a young woman who tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle accident that occurred early this morning. Officers arrived at the scene of the crash, located near the intersection of 12th Avenue and Drexel Road, shortly after 2 a.m.
Upon their arrival, the Tucson Police Department declared the passenger, 25-year-old Montana Rose Lujan, deceased. The driver, a 23-year-old woman, was also identified and subsequently transported to Banner University Medical Center, where she is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
According to police reports, the two individuals were traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on 12th Avenue in a 2008 Ford Taurus when the driver lost control and collided with a utility pole. Both women were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident. Authorities are still investigating whether factors other than excessive speed contributed to the crash.
