Mollie Quick Obituary – An Iowa woman has tragically passed away as a result of a collision on Interstate 80 on Sunday afternoon, according to the Nebraska State Patrol. The incident occurred near mile marker 282, located west of the Gibbon interchange, at approximately 3:15 p.m. The State Patrol reported that a Kia sedan, traveling in the eastbound direction, lost control and collided with a parked semi-trailer on the shoulder.
The driver of the Kia, identified as 20-year-old Mollie Quick from Waukee, Iowa, was pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, the semi driver did not sustain any injuries. As emergency crews worked diligently at the scene, traffic experienced delays. Although it was raining during the time of the crash, the exact cause is still being investigated.
