Miranda Corsette Obituary, Death; – A 16-year-old girl from Florida, who had been reported missing, was tragically killed and dismembered after meeting a man via social media, according to law enforcement officials. On Thursday, March 6th, a witness informed the police about potential kidnapping and homicide related to the missing teenager.
Investigators discovered that Miranda Corsette, aged 16, was enticed through a social media platform to meet 35-year-old Steven Gress on Valentine’s Day. Following their initial meeting, she returned home but went back to his residence the next day.
Miranda stayed with Gress and his girlfriend, 37-year-old Michelle Brandes, at their home. According to police reports, a confrontation occurred on February 20, during which she was assaulted. Authorities suspect that she was killed sometime between February 20 and February 24.
Subsequently, Gress allegedly transported her body in a vehicle to another location, where evidence suggests it was dismembered and disposed of in a dumpster in a different county. Detectives have located the dumpster and are actively working to recover her remains.
Gress is currently in custody, having been previously incarcerated on unrelated charges. He was arrested on March 5th for threatening his girlfriend with a harpoon and for drug possession. Additionally, he faces a kidnapping charge in connection with Miranda’s disappearance. Presently, police are also searching for Brandes.
