Mikayla Sandusky,Dillion Prater Obituary, Death;- The Kingsport Police Department has confirmed the identities of two individuals discovered deceased, one of whom was a woman from Oak Ridge.
On the morning of December 28th, officers from KPD responded to the 3100 block of Tiffany Court following reports of a man and woman found unresponsive on the floor of a home. Upon their arrival, medical personnel pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.
The bodies were subsequently transported to the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center at the E.T.S.U. James H. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City for autopsy procedures.
On January 2, KPD issued a news release identifying the deceased as Mikayla Sandusky, 25, from Oak Ridge, and Dillion Prater, 27, from Johnson City. Sandusky was originally from Knoxville and had connections to several communities in East Tennessee.
According to KPD, “Both suffered from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.” A firearm was discovered within the residence and has been secured as potential evidence. The investigation into the circumstances of the deaths is ongoing; however, police have indicated that they believe this incident to be an “isolated accident.”
