Mickese James Bostic Obituary, Death; – Birmingham Police are conducting an investigation into a homicide following an incident in which a woman allegedly drove her vehicle into a man on Sunday night.
Authorities discovered Mickese James Bostic trapped between a car and a residence in the 700 block of Lisa Lane. He was declared dead at the scene at 10:21 p.m.
Initially, police were dispatched to respond to a report of gunfire at the location around 9:50 p.m. While en route, officers received updated information indicating that a woman was attempting to run over a man at the site. Upon arrival, officers found Bostic pinned between the vehicle and the house.
Detectives reported that a birthday party and an Easter celebration were taking place at the residence at the time of the incident. According to police, the victim and the suspect share children and were engaged in a domestic dispute that escalated when the woman retrieved a firearm and discharged it inside the home.
After both individuals exited the residence, the woman entered a vehicle and struck Bostic. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was apprehended at the scene. Birmingham Police Department indicated that the children of both the suspect and the victim were present and may have witnessed the tragic event. The scene was described as chaotic, with officers from various precincts arriving to assist.
