From 1995 until 2000, he served as a fireman for the United States Air Force Fire Protection. From 2000 until 2013, he worked as a firefighter and paramedic for the Tinker Fire Department.
As a spouse to Dana Weeks Wise, a parent, and a friend, Mike was truly remarkable. Pranks and laughing made up for the fact that he never had much to say, but he made up for it with his lack of words. It was a privilege to be able to name him a member of the family, but it was an even more great pleasure to know him.

Katie also said “He never had much to say but what he lacked in words, his pranks and laughter made up for. It was an amazing thing to know him but an even bigger honor to call him family. Prayers for the Wise, Weeks, and Williams sides of our family. We can’t begin to imagine this great loss.”
