Michael West Obituary – A fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Friday evening in north St. Louis County, resulting in the death of an elderly man. The victim has been identified as Michael West, a 71-year-old resident of St. Louis. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has already informed the next of kin about the tragic incident.
The collision took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Friday near the intersection of Missouri Route 180 and North and South Road. According to the MSHP crash report, West was walking improperly along the westbound lanes of Route 180 when a driver collided with him. Emergency crews promptly arrived at the scene to assist, but unfortunately, West was pronounced dead on-site.
The investigation into the crash is being conducted by MSHP Troop C, which has jurisdiction over a significant portion of the St. Louis region.
