Michael McMartin Death: My heart is filled with sorrow as a result of learning of the demise of Michael McMartin, who was without a doubt one of the most wonderful people in the world. His passing has left me with a sense of loss. The two of us became acquainted with one another during the time that I was managing the Hoodoo Gurus and he was working at Big Time Records (maybe even a little bit earlier through the Trafalgar studio).
Approximately at the same time, this was place. As soon as I resigned from my role as their leader, he took over and did a fantastic job of directing and protecting them during the coming forty years. He was in charge of them. Instead of being taken at the Southern Cross, where the Gurus were having their signing session with Big Time, this photograph was taken at the East Sydney hotel.
Big Time was the subject of the signing session. Right now, Michael is here by my side, supporting me physically. We had a conversation a few months back, and during that conversation, we joked about traveling on the Gurus tour of North America together in September. The tour scheduled to take place in September.
During the month of September, the tour is set to take place. It was at this moment that we had our most recent conversation with one another. With a sly laugh, he offered, “I’ll drive if you navigate,” and he meant it sincerely. “I’ll drive.” Michael was one of the individuals who belonged to the group of people who were morally upright. Those people who are actually extraordinary in their own right.
