Michael James Massa Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life following a collision in Las Cruces on North Valley Drive on Sunday evening.
The incident involved three vehicles. At approximately 9 p.m., Las Cruces police responded to reports of a three-vehicle accident on the 900 block of North Valley Drive. Investigators determined that a 2024 black Nissan Armada was traveling north on Valley Drive at a high speed when it collided with the rear of a silver Chevrolet Malibu.
This impact caused the Malibu to veer into the southbound lanes, where it sideswiped an orange Ford Mustang. Meanwhile, the Armada veered off the road and struck a building.
The driver and only occupant of the Armada, identified as 54-year-old Michael James Massa from Bellflower, California, was transported to Mountainview Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Malibu and two passengers in the Mustang were also taken to the hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening.
