A 2020 GMC Acadia, which was being pursued at high speed by a Byhalia Police officer, collided forcefully with a 2015 Ford F150 at the intersection of St. Paul Road and Dockery Drive.
As reported by Local Memphis, the police chase was initiated for reasons that remain unspecified, rapidly escalating into a tragic outcome. The driver of the GMC and one passenger in the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased individuals have been identified as Michael Crutcher, 63, from Collierville, Tennessee, and Jaqua Blueitt, 30, from Byhalia, Mississippi. The two other victims were transported to Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee, where they are currently battling for their lives in critical condition.
