Melton East Obituary, Death Cause – East. Mr. Melton passed away on the second Wednesday of August in the year 2023 at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Magnolia, Mississippi. His parents, William Junior Melton and Thelma Mae Bishop Melton, gave birth to him on September 15, 1953, in the city of Flint, which is located in the state of Michigan. Thelma Mae Bishop Melton was his mother. While he was paid to work as an auto mechanic, he also gave his time to serve as a fireman with the Glen Fire Department for a total of fifteen years.
He did this while the department was still in operation. Both playing the drums and going camping were two of his favorite things to do in his spare time when he had some free time. He was a member of the Oakland Baptist Church, therefore he went there to worship on a regular basis.
The moments that dad was able to share with his grandchildren were ones that he held in the highest regard. Jerry is survived by his wife of forty years, Wanda Melton; his daughter, Michelle Martin (Joshua); his two granddaughters.
Skyler Martin and Jasper Martin; his sister, Karen Barber (Rick); in addition to a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, as well as a large group of friends. Jerry was married for a total of forty years.
Jerry and Wanda had been married for a combined total of forty years when they divorced. Before he was even conceived, neither of his parents, William Junior Melton nor Thelma Mae Bishop Melton, was still alive. Neither of his grandparents was alive either. Both of them have already left this world.
