Matthew Yeomans Easton MA, Remains found identified as those of man reported missing: The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office confirmed on Tuesday that the remains discovered in Easton earlier this month belong to Matthew Yeomans, a man reported missing in 2021.
Matthew Yeomans, 25 years old, lived on Summer Street, where his skeletal remains were found in a brook. He was reported missing by his grandfather in September 2021. According to a statement released by the district attorney’s office, Yeomans had a medical condition and was dealing with mental health issues at the time of his disappearance.
“When Mr. Yeomans was reported missing, the police found his wallet, identification cards, and cell phone inside his residence,” the release stated. Initial searches conducted around Yeomans’ home did not yield any results.
The discovery of Yeomans’ remains occurred after a homeowner a few houses away found a skull in a brook on their property on May 1. Subsequent searches led to the recovery of additional remains the following day.
