Matthew Ware Accident – Following a sad tragedy, Matthew Keegan Ware, 17, of Bruce, MS, entered paradise on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was born in Oxford on September 20, 2006. To everyone he encountered, Matthew was a beam of sunshine. His curly hair and charm will always be remembered by his classmates and coworkers.
He belonged to the Bruce High School class of 2025 and was a senior. In school, he belonged to the F.F.A. He cherished his job at TNT, especially at Spratlin’s Building Supply, where he was always willing to provide a hand and support others. Matthew was a devoted member of the Fire Department at Chicken Bone. He cherished the great outdoors, the natural world, and the peace that comes from viewing God’s sunsets.
Lana Ware, Matthew’s baby sister, and Carol Starkey, his grandmother, both passed away before him. His brothers, Jordan and Gracen Ware, grandparents, Steven “Papaw” Starkey, Jack and Annette Woodson, and uncle, David Starkey, all of Bruce, are the only people remaining to treasure his memory.
A visitation will be held at Parker Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Matthew’s funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Turner Moore and brother Will Turner will preside. The pallbearers were Chad Austin, Brayden Darby, B.J. Farmer, Joey Hastings, Chris Howell, and Royce Tidwell.
Bruce High School’s 2025 graduating class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will take place at the Garden of Memories. Parker Memorial is happy to assist the Ware family during their time of need. During this challenging time, we are praying and thinking about the Ware family.
