A junior student at West Mifflin Area School District in West Mifflin, PA has tragically passed away. Matthew Riley died unexpectedly following a battle with depression and mental anxiety. The beloved West Mifflin Baseball player was found dead from an apparent suicide.
The Pittsburg, PA residents have asked the public to send prayers to Matt’s family, friends, schoolmates, and everyone who knew him. “Please keep Tim & Kim, all of our children who held Matt as a dear friend, and the entire West Mifflin Community in your thoughts and prayers as we as a whole navigate this tremendous loss. I know how much sharing memories helps the ones left behind and so this is one of my favorite pics of James & Matt as young boys. Rest easy now Matt,” a friend of the family, Ashley Egnac, wrote on Facebook.
