On Tuesday evening, a motorcycle was killed in a crash near the junction of Tower Road and US-41. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 70-year-old Land O Lakes lady was driving a Mazda CX-5 westbound on Tower Road. A Suzuki motorbike driven by a 21-year-old Spring Hill guy was headed south on US-41.
At the crossroads, the Mazda CX-5 refused to yield to the Suzuki motorbike and turned left into its path. The motorcyclist was hit and killed at the site of the accident. He was identified as Mason Fox. The Mazda CX-5 driver did not sustain any injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. No more information is available at this time.
