Mary L. Myers Death – The elderly victim of a shooting in Huger on Monday has been identified as Mary L. Myers, 78, who died from a gunshot wound, as confirmed by Coroner Darnell Hartwell. Jah Mari Antonie Loyal, 18, has been arrested by Berkeley County deputies on charges of murder and attempted murder, according to Cpl. Carli Drayton.
Responding to a call at a home on Ivory Trail in Huger around 3 p.m. on Monday, deputies found the victim deceased. The investigation is ongoing, and Loyal may face further charges. Currently, he is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
