Martha N. Root Obituary, – A fatal crash in Augusta County claimed the life of a woman from Mt. Solon on Wednesday night. The Virginia State Police stated that the incident involving a single vehicle took place at approximately 11:30 p.m. at the junction of Stribling Springs Road and Stover Shop Road.
The Chevrolet Suburban, traveling south on Stribling Springs Road, veered off the road’s right side, collided with an embankment and a tree, and flipped over. The driver, Martha N. Root, aged 41, was ejected from the vehicle as she was not wearing a seat belt. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries at the crash site. The authorities are investigating the incident, with speed being considered as a potential contributing factor.
