Marsa Chandler Obituary, Death;- A 74-year-old woman from Oklahoma lost her life in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Tuesday morning in Pottawatomie County. The incident took place at approximately 8:03 a.m. on K-99 highway, near N. Church Road, roughly one mile north of Westmoreland, as reported by Pottawatomie County Sheriff Doug Adams.
The vehicle, a green 2006 Pontiac Solstice, was traveling southbound on K-99 when it veered off the road and ended up overturned in the west ditch. The passenger, identified as Marsa Chandler, 74, was transported by Pottawatomie County Emergency Medical Services to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, where she subsequently succumbed to her injuries.
The driver, Shirley Riegel, 66, also from Oklahoma, was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka for the treatment of serious injuries. The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into the accident. Additional information has not yet been released.
