Mark Young Obituary, Death – The community mourns the loss of Mark A. Young, 64, of Natick, MA, who peacefully passed away on March 23, 2024, following an eleven-year battle with multiple myeloma. Mark’s inquisitive nature and genuine interest in others defined his character. Whether engaging with colleagues at work, conversing with tellers at the bank, or simply running errands, Mark had a remarkable ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
His attentiveness and empathy made him a pillar of strength and support as a father, husband, friend, and neighbor. An accomplished student athlete, Mark attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he excelled as a member of the men’s heavyweight crew team and served as Treasurer of Saint Anthony Hall Fraternity. Following his undergraduate studies, Mark pursued his MBA at New York University Stern School of Business, laying the foundation for a successful career in banking.
Deeply rooted in his faith, Mark was an active member of Pilgrim Church in Sherborn, MA, where he served as treasurer on the church board and contributed to the memorial endowment committee. He cherished the traditions of his childhood, organizing potluck dinners and church-wide family retreats on the Cape, ensuring his children experienced the same sense of community and belonging that shaped his own upbringing.
