Marilyn was a pillar of strength, known for her grace, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Downing, and her son, Steve Downing.
Her love and influence extended to the next generations, as she leaves behind a cherished legacy through her grandchildren: Curtis Barnes, Dustin Barnes, Jarrod Wilkerson, Nathan Wilkerson, James Downing, Danielle McCoy, and Natalie Cole. Additionally, her light shines on through seven Great-Grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

A graveside service to celebrate Marilyn’s life will take place on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery. Following this, a funeral service will also be held on the same day and location, as we gather to pay our respects and say our farewells.
