Marcell Jordan Hebron Obituary, Death; – Detectives from the Major Crimes Division of the Montgomery County Department of Police have apprehended and charged 25-year-old Kaloyan Dimov Stoev, whose address remains undisclosed, in connection with a double homicide that transpired on the morning of Friday, January 17, 2025.
At approximately 3:16 a.m., an officer from the 1st District, while conducting routine patrols, noticed a white BMW halted at the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Research Boulevard.
Upon further examination, the officer discovered a deceased adult male within the BMW, along with bullet holes on the vehicle’s exterior. The victim was identified as 26-year-old Marcell Jordan Hebron, a resident of Rockville.
Later, at around 7:40 a.m., officers from the Rockville City Police Department were dispatched to the parking lot of 2 Research Court following reports of a deceased individual.
Upon their arrival, officers found a deceased adult female exhibiting apparent gunshot wounds, along with shell casings present in the parking lot. The victim was identified as 27-year-old Leilani Marroquin, also from Rockville.
The bodies were subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where autopsies will be performed to officially ascertain the causes and manners of death.
Throughout the investigation, detectives established a connection between the two homicides and identified Kaloyan Dimov Stoev as the individual responsible for the shootings of Hebron and Marroquin. On Friday, January 17, at approximately 12:00 p.m., detectives apprehended Stoev in Rockville, discovering two firearms in his possession.
Stoev was then taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he faces charges of two counts of first-degree murder, along with additional charges related to firearms. He is currently being held without bond.
