Marc Whitehead Obituary – The identity of the man who was fatally shot on 15th Street in Augusta has been revealed by the Richmond County Coroner’s Office. Marc Whitehead, aged 30 and a resident of Augusta, was shot and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Deputies from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the 1500 block of 15th Street in response to reports of an injured person just before 7:45 a.m. on Friday. Whitehead was discovered in a business parking lot and was declared deceased approximately 15 minutes later.
An autopsy has been scheduled by the coroner’s office.
