Manuel Ortiz Death – Police have identified the 55-year-old man, Manuel Ortiz, who was fatally shot during an ambush by shooters riding mopeds and a dirt bike. The incident occurred in the Kensington section of the city. Ortiz was found near Potter and East Huntingdon Streets and was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital.
The shooters, wearing masks and black hooded sweatshirts, approached Ortiz while he was sitting under a tree. The motive for the attack remains unclear. Surveillance footage shows the shooters firing at Ortiz, who was sitting on a blue folding chair.
