Man fatally Shot Dead in Monrovia Neighborhood ; Police Sought Gunman: Homicide detectives are looking for the person who shot and killed a man on Sunday night in a Monrovia neighborhood. Just before 9:30 p.m., there was a gunfire reported in the 700 block of West Duarte Road,When the police arrived, they discovered a guy with at least one gunshot wound.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release. Investigators have not released any information regarding a suspect or a motive for the shooting.
Reports indicate that the Monrovia Police Department has taken the lead in the investigation, with support pouring in from neighboring jurisdictions. The involvement of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, El Monte Police Department, and Covina Police Department underscores the gravity of the situation, with a collective deployment of personnel and specialized units.
The utilization of a SWAT vehicle from El Monte PD and a K9 unit from Covina Police highlights the comprehensive approach adopted to address the unfolding events.
