HICKORY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has been arrested after shooting a man during an argument, according to the Hickory Police Department.
Around 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, officers responded to the Landings of Hickory apartment complex at 1836 20th Avenue Drive NE. When they arrived, they found a 31-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local medical center and is in stable condition, officials said.
The shooting allegedly stemmed from a verbal conflict between the victim and the suspect, 55-year-old Donzell Lamont Wilfong. He was booked into the Catawba County Justice Center without bond for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon.
